What does "in play" mean?
A stock is in play when it is moving hard on heavy trading: a big percentage move with real dollar volume behind it. Those are the names day traders watch, because that is where both the opportunity and the risk are.
How often does the list update?
Every minute from 4:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET, through premarket, regular hours and after hours. The public list runs 15 minutes behind; after 8:00 PM it shows the day's final ranking.
What do the columns mean?
Rank is where the stock stands on the list, with its move since the minute before. Change is versus the previous close, 5 min is the move over the last five minutes, $ Volume counts every dollar traded since 4:00 AM, and Last alert is the most recent Momo Meter alert on the stock that day.
How do I see it live?

Is this a list of stocks to buy?
No. In play means a stock is moving a lot, in either direction. It is not a buy or sell signal and nothing here is investment advice. Trading volatile small caps is high risk and you can lose your whole investment.
